It is estimated that 5-10 million Americans suffer from fibromyalgia, and the majority of them are women. Fibromyalgia is a disorder characterized by chronic fatigue, muscle pain, joint pain and other unexplainable pains in the body, accompanied by sleep, mood, and memory issues.
Not much is known about the cause of this disorder. Researchers believe that fibromyalgia amplifies painful sensations by affecting the way your brain processes pain signals. Some experts have noticed that many additional health conditions are affecting fibromyalgia patients, including gluten intolerance, gout, and restless leg syndrome. If you suffer from fibromyalgia, removing sugar, gluten, MSG, caffeine, and dairy from your diet may help to relieve symptoms.
Another great way to relieve symptoms is to try this soup recipe that combines natural pain relief foods such as ginger and turmeric into one tasty dish. It is easy to make!
